I saw a diary today about how Schumer was going to work with Trump.
Let’s bust a few lame liberal myths here.
1. The President signs bills. Congress passes them. Saying you’ll work with the Orange Vomit when a bill is relevant is not treason. It’s called democracy.
2. On that note, saying you’re tired of triangulation means you understand nothing of our system. Again, no president can pass a bill. He can only sign it when Congress passes it. Triangulation is a euphemism for having to make a bill get enough opposition votes, people who probably hate it, so it passes, rather than having it not become law, and become a talking point at rallies.
3. Liberals make the perfect the enemy of the good. Glad millennials may read this. Because for us older ones, we watched Gore lose to Bush because of Nader a mere sixteen years ago (Nader got 90,000 votes in FL and Gore lost FL by double digits.) Now it happens again?
4. On the perfect the enemy of the good, this includes anyone who said Hillary was the lesser of two evils. Because America just elected the greater of two evils and it’s going to make your head spin. Goodbye reversing Citizens United. Goodbye climate change. Oops. Didn’t see those coming.
5. Anyone who truly disagrees with me here is in luck. I truly doubt the Dems will be able to not sabotage themselves in two years, by not showing up for the midterms. And in four years I’m sure the left candidate will alienate enough people by demanding perfection, and once again find a way to lose. I’m done. It’s all yours...
