When it was "their kind of leader", "one of their own" as President, it didn’t matter if there was only bullshit "evidence" for an invasion that was planned before he even took office or if it was justification for torture or violating any of a few dozen (at least) international and US laws, when it was "their side" illegally spying on US citizens – despite people within the DOJ and the courts saying it was illegal - or if it was outing a covert CIA agent and an entire network that was tracking nukes in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and other countries or if it was pre-screened fake staged everything and letting a city drown, there was always an excuse or a reason to explain it away as "well intentioned" or "someone else’s fault" or "something that nobody could have seen coming" or "protecting the country since the last time it was attacked on "their own’s" watch".
And we were called fucking traitors.
